1. Shell material
It must be made of high impact-resistant ABS engineering plastic or PC alloy to ensure light weight, high strength and impact resistance.
Some products use Japanese high impact-resistant PC/ABS alloy resin materials to enhance the seismic resistance.
2. Mask Material
The mask lenses should be made of transparent PC resin, with a light transmittance of ≥ 90% (measured at 90%), providing a wide field of vision.
The edges of the mask are embedded with soft, rounded corners to prevent scratches; some models can be equipped with iron mesh masks to enhance the puncture resistance.
3. Buffer and Protective Layers
The interior uses foam and soft energy-absorbing materials as the buffer layer to absorb impact forces.
Some products use Kevlar or tempered materials as additional protective layers to enhance the anti-penetration performance.
4. Weight and Wearing Comfort
The weight should be ≤ 1.6kg (for the lightweight model) or ≤ 1.56kg (for the standard model), making it easy to wear for a long time.
The lacing width should be ≥ 20mm, and the neck support width should be ≥ 115mm, ensuring stability and comfort.
5. Standards and Testing
It must comply with the standards such as "GA 294-2001/2012" or "GA 293-2001" for police riot helmets.
It passes the steel cone penetration test to ensure the puncture resistance performance.
